Director of Maintenance
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Utilize maintenance department resources to implement company initiatives
- Project current and future needs of the maintenance department to support growth targets
- Monitor Diesel Technician productivity by creating reports pulled from maintenance software
- Create policies and processes to promote safe, quality repairs
- Maintain control of assets
- Create policies and processes to ensure inventory accuracy
- Conduct weekly and monthly reports including but not limited to : labor utilization, inventory, repair times, parts spend, maintenance cost / mile
- Oversee the planning and utilization of the available capacity in shop
- Initiate conversations with vendors and evaluate the use of new products and / or technology
- Identify and develop continuous improvement projects focused on increasing efficiency and overall spend of the maintenance department
- Contain costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation publications.
- Enhances maintenance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
