Job descriptionProvide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, participate in emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols around the auto facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment. Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or unusual occurrences within the location. Assist visitors, employees, and vendors with directions and general information as needed. Work closely with site management and / or law enforcement as required. Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned area to help to deter potential issues. Complete required documentation and reports related to patrols, incidents, and daily activities. A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. CPR certification is preferred. A valid guard card or license is preferred. A valid state, county, or city issued security license is preferred. Loss prevention experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Security Officer - Auto Patrol Specialist Unarmed
As a Security Officer - Auto Patrol Specialist Unarmed in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at this automotive location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and create a secure environment for employees, visitors, and property. Your presence and routine patrols will help to maintain a welcoming atmosphere while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your patrol duties.
