Registered Nurse (RN) Medical / Surgical

Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families. Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families, and supervising assigned team members. Promotes patient's independence by establishing patient care goals, teaching patient, friends, and family to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills, and answering questions. Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards, making or recommending necessary adjustments, and following nursing philosophies and standards of care set by state board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations.\n\nPosition Specifics : \n

• Department : 4th Floor Medical / Surgical Unit 2 (1 : 5-6 ratio). Floor recently remodeled with all private units. May float to other units ICU, OB, etc. as needed. Mid-size hospital, but small feel. Supportive team in place with a lot of opportunity to have your voice heard\n
• Schedule : Full- Time Nights (36 hours / week; 6 : 45pm-7 : 15am) with every 3rd weekend rotation\n
• Facility : St. Anthony's Hospital\n
• Location : Effingham, IL\n
• Compensation that aligns with experience. Shift differentials for night, weekend, and call on top of base rate!\n\nEducation Qualifications\n
• Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice is required.\n
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.\n\nExperience Qualifications\n
• Experience in healthcare is preferred.\n\nCertifications, Licenses and Registrations\n
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice is required.\n
• Wisconsin : RNs may practice with a valid multi-state RN license as outlined in the Nurse Licensure Compact rules.\n
