Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A part-time physical therapist position is available in a K-12 school setting located in House Springs, MO. This contract role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with students across a diverse age range from Pre-K through 12th grade, providing both hands-on therapy and consultation services.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide physical therapy services to approximately 30 students district-wide, with varied frequencies ranging from weekly to monthly sessions.
- Conduct consultation visits for additional students on a monthly or quarterly basis.
- Flexibly schedule PT sessions two days a week, with exact days negotiable to fit both school needs and personal availability.
- Assume supervisory responsibilities for the current Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), particularly during the PTAs maternity leave, which may lead to an increased caseload initially.
- Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with students educational and physical needs.
Qualifications & Experience :
Licensed Physical Therapist with experience in pediatric care, preferably within school or healthcare environments.Ability to manage caseload efficiently and work independently.Strong munication skills to effectively supervise PTA and liaise with educators, parents, and healthcare providers.Familiarity with K-12 education settings and pliance with relevant regulations is preferred.Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of a dynamic school district caseload.Location : House Springs, Missouri
Work Schedule : Part-time, 2 days per week (flexible scheduling)
Duration : Contract aligned with the school year
