Job descriptionOrientation is bi-weekly with upcoming start dates on 11 / 24, 12 / 8, and 12 / 22. Facility has 294 beds and is Joint Commission Accredited. Services include cancer care, cardiac care, orthopedics, imaging, surgical services, and more. Located in Wilson, NC, 45 miles east of Raleigh, 2 hours from the coast of NC, and 1 hour from major universities such as Duke, NC State, UNC Chapel Hill, and East Carolina University. Meditech experience preferred. Must have 2 years of L / D (Labor and Delivery) experience for L / D RNs. Required certifications include BLS, L / D fetal monitoring class within 2 years, NRP, and ACLS. Float requirements : L / D only to sit or task for low census; Postpartum (PP) rotates for low census. Shift for Labor and Delivery (L / D) : 7pm-7am, night shift, 2 positions. Shift for Obstetrics (OB) : 7am-7pm, day shift. Weekly guaranteed hours : 36. Weekend hours : rotating every other weekend. Call requirements : minimal. Unit is on the 2nd floor. Trauma level not specified. Facility Department / Cost Center : 661, 660. Role : RN in L / D, OB / GYN with simple med / surge overflow. Number of openings : 2 L / D, 1 OB / PP / Med / Surge. Shifts : L / D 7pm-7am (nights), OB 7am-7pm (days). Weekly guaranteed hours : 36. Weekend hours : rotating every other weekend. Call requirements : minimal. Float requirements : L / D only to sit or task for low census; PP rotates for low census. Number of beds : 6 + 1 triage / Recovery Room in L / D with OR on the unit; PP has 12 beds. Patient ratios : L / D per AWHONN standards; PP 6 : 1 max, usually 3-4 : 1. Equipment : GE Centricity / Meditech. Patient population : OB, Postpartum, GYN, Med / Surge overflow (hips, knees). Preferred skillset : Circulate in OR for L / D. Dress code : L / D scrub color hospital supplied; PP / GYN any professional scrub attire. Unit Profile : Facility Department / Cost Center : 661, 660. Role : RN with specialty in L / D, OB / GYN with simple med / surge overflow. Number of openings : 2 L / D, 1 OB / PP / Med / Surge. Number of beds : 6 + 1 triage / Recovery Room in L / D with OR on the unit; PP has 12 beds. Patient ratios : L / D per AWHONN standards; PP 6 : 1 max, usually 3-4 : 1. Equipment : GE Centricity / Meditech. Supervisor : BSN level. Patient population : OB, Postpartum, GYN, Med / Surge overflow (hips, knees). Preferred skillset : Circulate in OR for L / D. Common diagnosis / treatment : as above. Personality fit : team player. Required education : RN prepared. Dress code : L / D scrub color hospital supplied; PP / GYN any professional scrub attire.
