Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Lynchburg, VA (24501) – Virginia healthcare jobs

Unit : Med Surg DRMU (Diabetic Renal Unit) / LAC Resource Team

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN)

Start Date : December 15, 2025

End Date : March 14, 2026

Contract Duration : 13-week travel nursing contract

Shift : 12-hour day shifts

Hours per Week : 36

Weekend Requirement : 2-3 weekends per month

Float Requirement : No

Orientation : Every other Monday

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1680 - $1800

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg RN experience in a hospital setting

Prior travel nursing experience is required for Centra positions

Active Virginia or Compact RN license (Registered Nurse license) required

BLS certification (Basic Life Support) required

Complete work history with explanations for any gaps over 90 days

Skills checklist and copy of RN license required for submission

Teaching hospital or charge nurse experience preferred

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality patient care in the Med Surg DRMU (Diabetic Renal Unit) as part of the LAC Resource Team

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes

Support a culture of learning and mentorship for students and new hires

Participate in scheduled orientation and ongoing nurse training

Work 2-3 weekends per month as required by unit needs

Maintain accurate patient documentation and comply with hospital policies
