Chief Estimator

Role Summary

We’re hiring a Chief Estimator to lead preconstruction efforts for utility and water infrastructure projects across Houston. This role is responsible for managing the estimating team, developing competitive bids, and supporting strategic growth across public and private sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating for underground utilities, water / wastewater, storm / sewer, and sitework projects.
• Develop bid strategies, scopes, and pricing for MUD, Public Infrastructure, and private clients.
• Manage and mentor estimators and preconstruction staff.
• Coordinate with owners, engineers, and subcontractors during pre-bid and post-bid phases.
• Ensure compliance with bid requirements, safety standards, and company protocols.
• Maintain historical cost data and refine unit pricing models.
• Support project handoff and buyout processes.
