Job description

Job title : Patient Care Associate

Job location : New York, NY 10019

Shift Day / Evening / Night - All Shift Available

Length : 2 months only

Pay : $15-$21 / hr

Education & Certification :

High school diploma or equivalent.
AHA HeartSaver or BLS required.

Skills & Abilities :

Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication and collaboration.

Completion of Patient Care Associate Orientation Program preferred.

2 years hospital experience required

Ability to prioritize, problem solve, use judgment in difficult situations, and remain flexible.

Effective oral and written English communication skills.

Physical stamina and manual dexterity for clinical tasks.

Duties & Responsibilities :

Perform and document vital signs, intake / output, and pain scales.

Assist patients with activities of daily living (feeding, bathing, toileting, ambulation).

Perform clinical procedures such as specimen collection, venipuncture, EKG, and Point of Care Testing.

Assist with procedure room setup, room turnovers, patient transport, and equipment handling.

Maintain safe, clean, and functional patient care environment.

Support dietary functions and document patient dietary needs.

Perform one-to-one observation or close monitoring as required.

Maintain isolation protocols as directed.

Conduct scheduled rounding and document findings.

Use communication systems and generate reports as needed.

Promote culturally sensitive care and respect patient diversity.

Shared duties include answering calls, greeting visitors, transporting patients, delivering trays, operating equipment, updating logs, and maintaining supplies.
