As a part of the Indiana Department of Correction, the Correctional Industrial Facility promotes public safety by providing meaningful, effective opportunities for successful re-entry. The Correctional Industrial Facility is a level 2-3, medium security correctional facility for adult males. The Correctional Industrial Facility is located in Pendleton, Indiana. The Correctional Industrial Facility has various job opportunities available to incarcerated individuals to aid in the re-entry process, including apprenticeships, maintenance, grounds crew, food service, sanitation, barbering, and manufacturing. Incarcerated individuals are also afforded the opportunity to earn their GED.
Role Overview
As a Maintenance Foreman at the Correctional Industrial Facility, you will be responsible for the repair and preventive maintenance needs of the facility. We are a full-service maintenance team that handles a wide variety of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and grounds issues. You will be working Monday through Friday, 7.5 hours a day. In addition, you will be supervising incarcerated individuals when needed. We provide excellent customer service and utilize best security / safety practices. There are advancement opportunities for those who want to move into supervisory positions.
Salary Statement
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $42,900.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.
