Position Summary

Shermco Industries is seeking an Operations Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Austin location ($20M / 15+ people). This includes managing staff, ensuring that all processes are running smoothly, and identifying areas for improvement. The Operations Manager will work closely with other departments to ensure that the company is meeting its goals and objectives. To be considered, a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is required and ideally 10 years of engineering experience (to include electrical power distribution) and a minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management to include P&L ownership OR we will consider someone who has worked in a Technical Project or Program Manager capacity who has managed multiple projects simultaneously ($5M-$10M).

Responsibilities

Manage and supervise staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations

• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures
• Ensure that all processes are running smoothly and efficiently
• Identify areas for improvement and implement new strategies to increase productivity
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to measure success and identify areas for improvement
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all goals are aligned and met
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws
