APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Almont, MI looking to add a CNC Machinist to their already amazing team. Their primary responsibility will be to set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines to produce parts based on technical drawings and specifications. Keep reading for more details!

    • What your day will look like :

  • Operates and sets up CNC (Fadal, Haas) and Bridgeport machines.
  • Uses calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, and other measuring tools to ensure accuracy.
  • Reads blueprints and design sketches in metric and U.S. measurements.
  • Selects and secures fixtures, tools, and materials for machining.
  • Performs machining operations, converts measurements, and checks parts for defects.
  • Adjusts machine settings to correct errors and maintain tolerances.
  • Inspects machines, performs minor repairs, and reports issues.

    • What we are looking for :

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training preferred
  • 2+ years of CNC Machine experience; Lathe knowledge preferred
  • Experience with sheet metal and / or steel fabrication.
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
  • Physically capable of handling and moving large metal pieces and standing for extended periods.
