We have an Excellent career opportunity for a Mechanical Superintendent to join a leading Company located in Newtown, PA.
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Superintendent to lead field operations on water and wastewater plant and pump station projects. This role is responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, including supervising crews and subcontractors, managing safety and quality, and ensuring work is completed according to schedule and budget expectations. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in field execution and has spent their career on the contractor side of projects, directly responsible for building the work in the field.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise all field operations on assigned projects
Motivate, assign, and direct field crews and subcontractors
Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with OSHA requirements
Provide field forepersons with the tools, equipment, materials, and information needed to complete work effectively
Monitor subcontractor performance, productivity, schedule, and cost
Understand project plans and specifications related to assigned work scopes
Track productivity and cost for assigned work activities
Apply QA and QC processes to ensure high-quality workmanship
Oversee all construction-related activities at the project site
Identify and respond proactively to changing site conditions and unforeseen challenges
Manage required paperwork, submittals, material tracking, and document control
Prepare and submit weekly safety reports
Plan and manage manpower needs for assigned projects
Basic Hiring Criteria
Approximately 10 or more years of experience in heavy civil construction
OSHA 10 Hour or OSHA 30 Hour certification required
Demonstrated experience serving as a superintendent on mechanical-focused projects
Experience with water and wastewater treatment plants and pump stations
Strong knowledge of safety practices, OSHA requirements, and QA and QC standards
Ability to manage fast-paced schedules and shifting priorities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Valid driver's license
Proven ability to lead field teams and manage site operations at a high level
Willingness to work on local projects within a defined regional radius
