Summary

The Captain Server oversees daily lounge service, supporting both leadership and front-line staff to ensure each guest experience reflects Sundance's standards of authenticity, craftsmanship, and understated luxury. This role blends hands-on service with calm, thoughtful leadership, maintaining consistency, presentation, and precision throughout every shift.

Essential Functions

• Lead pre-shift briefings to review priorities, menu highlights, and service standards.
• Guide and support servers and bartenders through coaching, feedback, and mentorship.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and bar to ensure pacing, accuracy, and quality.
• Oversee setup and breakdown to maintain cleanliness and readiness.
• Monitor inventory, requisitions, and par levels for all service items.
• Engage guests with genuine hospitality, anticipating needs and ensuring satisfaction.
• Maintain documentation, including shift reports and operational checklists.
• Serve as liaison between management and staff for seamless communication .
