As an in-house lawyer at Global Relay, you will be immersing yourself in the hottest tech trends and issues of the day. Big data. Artificial Intelligence. Surveillance and cyber security. Privacy protection. Data sovereignty. And that's just for starters.

You will be involved in every major aspect of the business – not simply legal matters. You will help Global Relay forge new partnerships and grow its global distribution network. You will deal with issues related to compliance archiving, data protection, eDiscovery, and business continuity of highly regulated industries.

In the process, you will have the opportunity to work alongside seasoned tech vets and experienced business professionals in our seven offices across the globe. You will also benefit from the opportunity to collaborate with and receive mentorship from Global Relay's other talented and kind in-house lawyers. You will do business with our ever-growing customer base, which currently includes 22 of the world's largest banks, and enjoy travel opportunities to major financial centers like Chicago, London, and Stockholm. Your responsibilities :

• Review, negotiate, and draft customer agreements, policies, partner agreements, and conduct business & legal negotiations
• Advise internal teams on a broad spectrum of legal and business issues, including international data protection requirements, contractual commitments, industry-specific compliance obligations, intellectual property rights, and employment and human resources / employment issues
• Provide legal support relating to compliance & eDiscovery subject matters
• Provide legal support related to customer retention, renewals, and other related legal / accounting issues
• Provide business support in the development of Global Relay's sales, marketing and business development strategies, new go-to-market strategies, product design, deployment, and positioning to help maximize revenues of the business team
• Provide operational support with Global Relay's internal policies, communications, training, and education on Global Relay services and general governance

About you

Compensation :

Global Relay advertises the pay range for this role in compliance with applicable pay transparency laws. Individual pay rates are determined by evaluating factors such as expertise, skills, education, and professional background.

The range below reflects the expected annual base salary, which is only one element of our comprehensive total rewards package designed to reflect our company pay philosophy, culture and values. We aim to foster an inspiring work environment and support employees' work-life rhythms. We provide a comprehensive health benefits program, including extended health coverage and short-term / long-term disability insurance. Employees receive annual allotted vacation days, which increase based on tenure. Other benefits include paid sick days, maternity / parental leave enhanced program, commuter benefits, corporate bonuses, and a 401(k)-retirement plan with company contribution matching.

Base salary range

$125,000—$185,000 USD
