JOB SUMMARY
The Beauty Ambassador is responsible for delivering professional retail sales training to the spa team, emphasizing product knowledge and effective selling techniques. This role also includes providing expert consultations and makeup applications to guests, supporting the achievement of daily and monthly sales goals, and assisting in closing retail sales. A key focus is building lasting connections with returning spa guests through proactive clienteling practices, staying in touch to foster relationships and drive incremental retail sales. Taking advantage of personalized outreach tools provided by brand marketing and corporate programs will further support these efforts. The Beauty Ambassador is expected to consistently meet established monthly sales targets to ensure success in this role. Additionally, they establish strong guest rapport through personalized follow-up and clear communication, ensuring guest needs and concerns are fully understood, while consistently upholding high standards of customer service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Adhere to TRILOGY’s “Flawless Service, Every Guest, Every Day” philosophy and Spa policy and procedures.
- Anticipate guest needs and uphold Spa and TRILOGY’s service standards for guest service, including FORBES 5 Star criteria.
- Interact cooperatively and professionally with guests and spa team, demonstrating respect, sensitivity, and attentiveness, following all company guidelines.
- Provide knowledgeable and thorough make-up services, while demonstrating professionalism, respect, and sensitivity to guest needs.
- Provide guests with a thorough and knowledgeable spa retail experience.
- Provide detailed descriptions regarding all make-up services.
- Provide guest consultation and personalized recommendations, based on guest’s needs, as well as sell and upsell retail products and enhancement treatments.
- Provide ongoing outreach to spa clientele with the understanding of meeting established sales goals set by Spa Management.
- Ensure retail area and makeup consultation area are clean and well maintained, always conveying the luxury look and appeal of the branded partner products.
- Comply with and maintain safety, sanitation, and disinfection standards, properly cleaning and sanitizing products, rooms, tools and equipment, following TRILOGY and State Governing Boards requirements and guidelines.
- Ensure tools and equipment utilized for services in your department are in good operating order.
- Assist in arranging vendor training on treatment protocols and at-home retail extensions.
- Ensure that retail and professional product inventory is properly secured at the end of their shift to avoid the possibility of theft by others.
- Ensure that all guest retail transactions are properly processed by the Front Desk team.
- Provide guests with a tour of the spa facility, as needed.
- Communicate guest complaints or any maintenance issues to Spa Management.
- Attend mandatory vendor and company training sessions, as scheduled by Spa Management.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Must have a High School diploma or equivalent, or any other combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and capabilities.Must have current NY Cosmetology and / or Make-up Artistry license.Must have at least 5 years’ experience in a retail sales position.Must have 3+ years of experience working in sales as a Make-up Artist in an upscale / luxury setting and or department store / branded environment.Previous Supervisory positions held, preferred.Must have reputable and consistent sales and make-up experience.Knowledge of Make-up Artistry.Must be polished, professional, and have a strong command of both written and verbal English.Must be organized, proactive, and possess a strong attention to detail.Basic computer software skills, including Microsoft Office.Previous experience with Booker, Book4Time, Spa Soft preferred.BENEFITS / PERKS
