The position is an on-site contract role based in Charlotte, MI, focused on electrical design engineering, including 2D electrical detail / schematic drawings, 3D models, assemblies, and production assembly drawings (PADs).

Responsibilities

  • Generate and revise 2D electrical detail / schematic drawings and 3D models.
  • Design wiring schematics and harness drawings in AutoCAD.
  • Create and design electrical components using SolidWorks.
  • Collaborate with the shop floor to verify fit and function of designs.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of designs to meet project requirements.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in circuitry design, load calculations, and power distribution.
  • 5+ years of experience in 2D AutoCAD designing electrical harnesses.
  • 5+ years of experience designing electrical components in SolidWorks.

    • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP).
  • Experience with industry standards such as ANSI / ASME, GD&T, SAE, FMVSS.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

    • Work Environment

    The position is based in an engineering building where the candidate will work alongside other engineers. The role primarily involves design work at a cubicle with some interaction with the shop floor for troubleshooting. The team consists of 10 engineers, including 8 Design Engineers and 2 Electrical Engineers, working alongside functional leads and mentors.

    This is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, MI.

    Pay and Benefits

  • Pay range : $37.00 - $46.00 / hr.
