The AI Team at Amplitude is creating new product experiences powered by intelligent agents - but we care just as much about how they show up in the UI as we do about the backend. If you've ever used an AI product and thought, "Why is this so unhelpful" you're in the right place.

This role is for a fullstack engineer who leans frontend, has a strong product sense, and cares deeply about quality. You'll own experiences end-to-end, from system design to pixel polish, and help define what "usable" AI feels like.

You'll be part of a small, scrappy, high-context team working across the entire LLM stack - from prompt design to infra to monitoring to customer-facing UX. We move fast, own our work, and prioritize quality + learning over throwing models at the wall.

It's ambitious, but we think this team has the potential to build something that becomes bigger than Amplitude's core business in a short period of time. And we have the support of the company to do that.

What you'll do :

• Build fullstack features with a bias to frontend and UX ownership
• Craft thoughtful, fast, responsive UI components that interact with LLMs and agents
• Work closely with backend engineers to build bridges into orchestration and infra
• Pair with PMs and designers to rapidly iterate on new ideas and prototypes
• Help define best practices for AI UX - what does great prompting, feedback, and fallback look like?
• Own the end-user experience and obsess over polish

Based on legislation in California, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in San Francisco Bay Area of California. Salary range : $203,000 - $305,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)

Based on legislation in California, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in California outside of the San Francisco Bay Area. California salary range : $182,000 - $273,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)
