Job descriptionGeneral gastroenterology services including diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of diseases of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, rectum, pancreas, gallbladder, bile ducts, and liver Services include pillcam capsule endoscopy, screening exams, ultrasounds (EUS), CT colonography, flexible sigmoidoscopy, double-contrast barium enema, FIT, gFOBT, stool DNA test, ERCP, endoscopy, and colonoscopy Trauma Level : III EMR : EPIC GI Physician will be responsible for placing orders that they will be recommending Inpatient coverage, 100% hospital based No clinic; outpatient scoping depending on need Support Staff : 3 NPs 100% Adult patients Average Patients per Day : Hospital : 10 Average Surgeries per Day : 20 (approximate) Trauma : 0-1, Elective : 0-1, Inpatient Scopes : 5 All Inpatient, none are OP scopes Any inpatient request for anesthesia will fall into when an anesthesiologist is available, just like any add on surgery case Board Status : Board Certified or Board Eligible (5-yr from training) Experience : More than 2 years Certifications : ACLS-AHA issued, BLS-AHA issued ACLS required if performing conscious sedation Flu Vaccine : Required or need medical or religious exemption COVID Vaccine : Required or need medical or religious exemption Active IN State License or IMLC Patient Contacts / Procedure Logs : require most recent 24-months Must be available to cover listed dates
