Fire Sprinkler Sales Engineer

We are looking for a Fire Sprinkler Sales Engineer, who will join a strong sales team that values collaboration, communication and transparency. Sales Engineers will specialize in technologically and scientifically advanced products and services. They will use their technical skills to explain the benefits of our solutions to new and existing customers. This role reports to a Regional Sales Manager.

What you will be doing includes preparing and delivering technical presentations explaining products or services to existing and prospective customers, collaborating with sales team to understand customer requirements and provide sales support, helping clients solve problems with installed equipment, recommending improved materials or machinery to customers, showing how changes will lower costs and increase production, following the established sales strategy, processes and programs to shift prospects into new customers, developing fire and life safety solutions that are a fit for each targeted prospect, demonstrating efficient time management, maintaining the pulse on competition, driving revenue to CertaSite, establishing scale and profitability, facilitating optimization of gross margin throughout the organization, partnering with marketing, gathering all information needed to make informed recommendations, persuasively selling ideas to gain support and buy-in, using various communication techniques to gain cooperation in a negotiation, demonstrating the ability to remain resolute and resilient under stress, leveraging contacts to stay informed of new company developments, and balancing new requests with established priorities.

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and work experience, and 7-10 years of progressive technical and industry sales experience.

Ideal qualities include business to business fire and life safety industry experience driving revenue and helping build strong GTM strategies, a demonstrated track record of uncovering opportunities and advancing prospects, a strong orientation to delivering winning outcomes, proficiency in identifying high value prospects, running a disciplined sales campaign, and converting prospects into CertaSite customers.

Working conditions and physical requirements include a controlled climate, office environment, local travel as needed, no overnight travel required, visiting customer locations and having meetings in field settings, required to sit for long periods of time, eight hours or more per day, and being frequently required to use a monitor, keyboard, and phone.
