• Required General Surgery Case Experience : Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colon resection, Hernia repair inguinal / umbilical, Laparoscopic assisted procedures, Mastectomy, Thyroidectomy partial / total, Whipple
• Required Client Case Skills / Experience : Cervical fusion, Craniotomy, Laminectomy / discectomy, Lumbar fusion
• Required Orthopedic Case Skills / Experience : Arthroscopy, Carpal Tunnel release, Closed reduction of fractures, Open reduction of fractures
• Required Plastic Surgery Case Skills / Experience : Free Flap - Microvascular
• Required Transplant Skills / Experience : Organ donation
• Required Urology Case Skills / Experience : Cystoscopy, Nephrectomy, Prostatectomy
• Required Trauma Case Skills / Experience : Amputations, Gunshot / stab wounds, MVA (multiple injuries)
• Required Emergency management Skills / Experience : Code response, Fire safety, Latex Allergy, Malignant Hyperthermia
• Required Equipment / Instrumentation / Supplies Experience : Electrosurgical units, Fiber optic light sources / cords, Hana tables
• Required Professional Knowledge and Skills : Administration of blood products, Infection control, Clienttion Safety, Specimen Handling / labeling, Universal Protocol (Time out) Procedure, Urinary bladder catheterization

Description :

This position is for an Operating Room Registered Nurse.

The contract duration is between 16 to 26 weeks.

The shift is a day shift with 4 ten-hour workdays.

The responsibilities include working in the operating room across various service lines, excluding cardiovascular services.

Clinicians will occasionally float within their skill set.

Candidates must meet the requirements for various surgical procedures and case experiences.

BLS certification is required, with additional certifications preferred.

The position demands effective response to emergency situations and adherence to safety protocols.

All requested time off will be subject to review and approval.

Candidates must have an active license in hand prior to applying for this position.

There is a requirement for on-call duties once per week.

The clinical environment supports multiple interdisciplinary teams.
