We are looking for a skilled Collections Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Skokie, Illinois. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing various collection processes to ensure timely payments and resolve outstanding balances. This position requires strong communication skills and expertise in both commercial and consumer collections.

Responsibilities :

• Manage and execute collection activities for commercial and consumer accounts, ensuring timely payments and resolution of overdue balances.
• Communicate with clients professionally to address payment issues and negotiate payment arrangements.
• Monitor accounts receivable and provide regular updates on collection progress.
• Analyze payment histories and credit information to identify trends and potential risks.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline billing and collection processes.
• Maintain detailed records of all collection activities, including correspondence and payment agreements.
• Address and resolve disputes related to billing or payment discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations in all collection efforts.
• Contribute to the development of strategies for improving overall collection efficiency.
• Proven experience in commercial and consumer collections.
• Strong understanding of credit and collection processes.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to analyze payment trends and assess credit risks.
