This position serves as the State of Michigan's lead worker technician of the departmental technicians within the Criminal Processing and Modification Unit (CPMU) working on the pseudo-pointer project. This position is also required to perform a variety of technician assignments to support the CPMU including activities for fingerprints that have been submitted to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) but are missing from the Michigan criminal history central repository. This position is also the point of contact for all Michigan record challenges received from the Internet Criminal History Access Tool (ICHAT) application. The employee in this position addresses the outgoing flow of information needed for criminal fingerprint transmissions, including the review and correction of complex items in the criminal problem queue. It is also responsible for coding details within various data sets in the criminal workflow and correct or resubmit the data to ensure the transaction processes successfully. This position must function in a bias free manner.

Education typically acquired through completion of high school.

Two years of experience as a supervisor of administrative support activities equivalent to the 9-level in state service.

OR

Two years of experience performing administrative support activities equivalent to the 9-level in state service.

OR

Three years of experience as a technician or paraprofessional, including one year of experience equivalent to the experienced level in state service.
