McKesson Medical-Surgical is seeking a Director of Operating Expense Governance in Richmond, VA. This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operating expenses within the organization. This includes developing strategies to reduce costs, managing budgets and forecasts, and ensuring a high standard of accountability to expense discipline across the business. The director will govern actionable operating expense reporting with an emphasis on creating visibility for financial return metrics. They will also work closely with senior leadership to drive efficiency and improve profitability, ultimately making recommendations to the CEO and CFO and steering decision-making across the organization.
Responsibilities :
- Act as an advisor to the CEO, CFO, VPs of FP&A, and other senior leaders
- Function as an accountability partner to the business to ensure expense discipline and support sustainable profitability and operating expense leverage
- Create and champion actionable expense reporting for all facets of the business
- Provide regular analytics and insight to opportunities within the expense space
- Collaborate relentlessly across FP&A to inform, understand, and establish alignment on both results and forward-looking budgets and forecasts
- Work cross-functionally to develop and execute budgets and long-term financial plans
- Uphold monthly and quarterly P&L reporting cadences, including production of monthly reporting packages
- Serve as a highly visible leader with multiple direct reports
- Provide guidance on investment decisions related to operational expenses
- Analyze industry trends and benchmark best practices in operating expense management
Minimum Requirements :
Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 12+ years of professional experience and 4+ years of management experience.Critical Skills :

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
Our Base Pay Range for this position $123,800 - $206,300
