The Willows of West Hills is hiring a Maintenance Technician to keep our apartments and facilities running smoothly from repairs and make-readies to grounds and common areas. Essential functions

• Performs all maintenance and repair work (major and routine) for the apartments, supportive buildings, common areas, breezeways, irrigation systems, and grounds.
• Provides maintenance support for the storage and commercial assets.
• Notifies the Maintenance Manager of any unsafe conditions or areas of concern, and provides recommendations for resolving these issues.
• Completes punch lists in vacant apartments, including debris removal, repairs and replacements, and inspections.
• Follows the Make Ready Procedure.
• Coordinates housekeeping and carpet / floor repairs with the Maintenance Manager as needed.
• Ensures the inventory and workshop are neat, organized, and adequately stocked to handle make readies, service requests, and other routine maintenance tasks.
• Serves on call for 24-hour emergency maintenance work orders on a rotating schedule (approximately every four weeks).
• Maintains a professional demeanor at all times while on duty or on call.

Work environment

Exposure to outside weather conditions.

On call week runs Monday - Sunday. Additional compensation and hour minimums will be paid.

Physical demands

Ability to lift and / or move up to 50 pounds without assistance.

Ability to climb stairs and ladders.

Ability to work outside in different elements.

Additional eligibility requirements

Valid and current Drivers License

Must past a background check, drug screen and motor vehicle report prior to first day of employment

Fair Housing certification or ability to obtain within first 30 days of employment (course provided by employer)
