Position Overview : As the Safety Assistant reporting to the General Manager, you will play a crucial role in assisting with company safety protocols and procedures within our Company operations. You will work closely with pilots, mechanics, drivers, and office employees to promote a safety conscious and Just Culture. In this entry-level position you will gain the knowledge to advance within the Safety field in the aviation industry.

Responsibilities :

• Administrative duties as assigned by the General Manager.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support the onboarding of new employees, including safety training, orientation to internal communication tools, and introduction to company policies and procedures.
• Provide support to employees on safety-related matters, including training programs, safety equipment usage, and emergency procedures.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in safety regulations to ensure continuous improvement of safety programs.
• Assist with ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations, including OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards.
