About the Role
The Project Manager will lead school construction projects across Texas, managing budget, schedule, and coordination between owners, architects, engineers, and field teams. This person serves as the central point of contact ensuring all project goals are met.
Responsibilities
Manage projects from preconstruction through final handoff, ensuring budget and schedule goals are achievedBuild and maintain relationships with clients, design teams, and subcontractorsPrepare and maintain cost reports, change orders, pay applications, and related project documentationCollaborate with superintendents to plan field operations, maintain schedules, and anticipate resource needsReview submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings to confirm contract complianceConduct regular project meetings, produce progress reports, and ensure strong communication among all partiesIdentify risks and opportunities, recommend solutions, and lead the team through decision-makingProvide mentorship to project engineers or assistant managersQualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred3+ years of experience as a project manager on commercial or institutional workExperience managing education or public-sector projects in Texas is highly desirableProficiency with cost control systems, scheduling software, and project management platformsStrong financial, organizational, and communication skills
