Job Title – Clinical Laboratory Technologist – Blood Bank

Location – Boston, MA

Role Type – Direct Hire

Must Have Skills :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology (must meet CLIA & State requirements)
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory testing experience or completion of a Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) degree
  • ASCP or AMT certification preferred
  • Strong technical and troubleshooting skills in Blood Bank testing
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization

Responsibilities and Job Details :

  • Perform both routine and complex testing within the Blood Bank according to standard operating procedures
  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and ensure proper documentation
  • Prepare, test, and evaluate reagents or controls as needed
  • Maintain and document quality control measures and routine maintenance
  • Uphold all safety and compliance protocols in a regulated clinical lab environment
  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives
  • Support reagent preparation and specimen processing as necessary
  • Deliver timely and accurate test results to support critical patient care
  • Collaborate effectively with clinical staff and team members
  • Participate in rotating weekend and holiday schedules as required
  • Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screening

    • Two shifts available :

  • Shift 1 : Friday – Monday, 9 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM (4 x 10-hour shifts)
  • Shift 2 : Monday – Friday, 3 : 00 PM – 11 : 30 PM; rotating weekends
