Job Description Job Description Job Title : Lab Technician Job Description The Lab Technician will conduct standard and advanced analytical techniques, including bench titration, pH testing, specific gravity measurements, and small bench non-volatile and residue testing. The role involves starting the GC process, with samples sent to a different location for completion. All testing involves non-hazardous materials. Responsibilities Conduct standard and advanced analytical techniques, including bench titration, pH testing, specific gravity, small bench, non-volatile, and residue testing. Initiate the GC process and prepare samples for external testing. Bring in products and conduct inbound receipts, documenting information into the internal system. Confirm material compliance with prescribed specifications. Maintain equipment logs and ensure proper functioning. Follow SOPs and assist in developing additional methods. Review and update documents such as procedures and batch instructions. Provide assessment and disposition of quarantine product. Assist with providing certificates of analysis for customer shipments. Complete monthly quality checks for quality, GMP, and safety-related programs. Assist with the creation of customer-specific labels for product deliveries. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or chemical engineering. Experience with Microsoft skills, especially Microsoft Access. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
