Job Details :
This position is responsible for developing, implementing, organizing, and maintaining the facility's OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) and EPA Risk Management Programs (RMP) in accordance with the Tyson EHS PSM Program Manual. Key responsibilities include :
- Communicating the status, needs, and necessary information regarding PSM and RMP programs with refrigeration operators, facility management, corporate EHS, corporate Engineering Services, and other relevant parties.
- Tracking the status of compliance audits, mechanical integrity, hazard analyses, incident investigations, and other EHS-generated action items and recommendations.
- Keeping facility management and Tyson EHS (through the PSM / RMP Area Manager) informed of compliance status.
- Initiating and leading monthly PSM committee meetings involving managers and team members, including the facility manager, refrigeration manager, maintenance manager, safety managers, refrigeration team members, and relevant production management personnel.
- Maintaining the PSM bulletin board for communication of PSM committee meeting minutes.
- Being informed of refrigeration projects and facilitating the management of change (MOC) process for applicable projects.
- Conducting incident investigations and organizing all information related to the 14 elements of the Tyson PSM and RMP Programs.
- Supporting refrigeration management with budgeting and training development related to PSM covered processes.
Additional duties include :
Developing, tracking, and scheduling Preventative Maintenance (PM) activities for equipment, piping, valves, etc.Developing training for routine and non-routine PM tasks specified by the Mechanical Integrity Program to optimize labor use.Maintaining electronic data systems such as SAP-PM or MMS for reporting and data storage integral to mechanical integrity for PSM / RMP covered processes.Analyzing maintenance data, reviewing PSM required work orders, and equipment history to recommend repairs or replacements in accordance with recognized and generally accepted good engineering practices (RAGAGEP).All other duties as assigned by Management.Requirements :
Education : High School diploma or GED required; Vocational school or additional coursework beyond High School preferred.Experience : Must have experience with spreadsheets and be able to learn basic software usage. Must have experience or general knowledge of Refrigeration.Computer Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and developing templates for use by other employees. Knowledge of SAP-PM and AutoCAD software is a plus.Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to understand priorities and make appropriate calls to EHS and Engineering Services.Special Skills : Ability to handle sensitive information with confidence and discretion. Capable of participating in OSHA and EPA audits and handling professional communication during audits. Strong organizational skills and the ability to understand and relate Tyson and plant program specifics to federal PSM / RMP requirements.Travel : Limited travel may be required.Relocation Assistance Eligible :
