Job Description

The Business Intelligence (BI) Lead will be responsible for designing and delivering scalable BI solutions, including data models, reporting frameworks, and interactive dashboards that enable data-driven decision-making. This role requires expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Business Objects, with the ability to translate business requirements into intuitive and actionable insights. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and identify trends, patterns, and opportunities that drive business value.

BI Development & Data Modeling

  • Design and build semantic data models in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI to support enterprise reporting and analytics.
  • Develop optimized data relationships, measures, and calculations to ensure accuracy and performance.
  • Implement best practices for data modeling, governance, and visualization.

Reporting & Dashboard Solutions

  • Create interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI that deliver actionable insights to business stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain Business Objects reports to support operational and strategic reporting needs.
  • Analyze data to uncover trends, anomalies, and actionable insights that inform business decisions.
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and performance optimization of BI solutions.
  • Establish and enforce standards for data visualization and reporting.
  • Business Partnership & Requirements Gathering

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Provide guidance on leveraging BI tools for self-service analytics and decision-making.
  • Data Governance & Quality

  • Ensure data integrity, quality, and compliance with governance and security standards.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Leadership & Best Practices

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on BI tools, data modeling, and visualization best practices.
  • Mentor and guide team members on BI development and data modeling techniques.
  • Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Business Objects, and SQL.
  • Hands-on experience with data modeling, DAX, and Power Query.
  • Solid understanding of BI architecture and performance optimization.
  • Ability to analyze complex datasets to identify actionable insights and business opportunities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into BI solutions.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills to present insights to senior leadership.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
  • Familiarity with Python or R for data transformation and automation.
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks and security best practices.
  • Education & Experience

  • Preferred - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Modeling, or related roles.

    Compensation

    Compensation offered for this role is $92,560.00 - 166,465.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

    The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
