Description
| The Production Support person is primarily responsible for carrying out quality control functions in the shipping, mill, or packaging departments of all incoming and outgoing products by following SQF guidelines and meeting customer specifications, along with providing support to the daily operations in the Bridgeport Bulk location.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains consistent quality standards on all incoming and outgoing paperwork for the product.
- Checks weights on inbound rail cars and schedules and releases rail cars as necessary.
- Perform inbound receiving activities in ERP system and complete all inbound instructions per company’s requirements.
- Monitors and completes necessary documentation with grade and lot information.
Complies with company safety policies and maintains clean and orderly work area and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures, including timely and accurate documentation of required SQF forms.
Inputs data for production balancing for inventory purposes.Perform shipping activities in ERP system, secure a signed BOL and complete all other shipping instructions per company and customers’ requirements.Entries data for production balancing for inventory purposes.Maintains production report for warehouse inventory verification.Makes any necessary inventory adjustments as requested.Maintains and completes necessary Master Seed Order documentation of contract, releases, invoices and payments from individual growers.Assists with management of regional seed inventory and shipping documents seed sales.Maintains and completes necessary harvest relationship documentations of acreage contracts, bean pricing, and grower settlements.Grade grower harvest trucks and enter Harvest Receipts during harvest seasonScan, code, index into GlobalSearch Accounts Payable InvoicesManages invoice filing system.Creates as-needed USPS, UPS, and FedEx shipments.Provides assistance at the plant with day-to-day operations when not in peak season.Performs other duties as assigned by management.Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING :
High school diploma or equivalent requiredOne (1) year of QC experience in a food environment preferredValid Driver License in good standingKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY :
