Position : Sample Preparation Technician
Sibanye-Stillwater Reldan is seeking a knowledgeable Sample Preparation Technician to join our 1st Shift team in the Sample Preparation Room. This hands-on position is ideal for individuals with knowledge of manufacturing, laboratory, or material handling processes who thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
We provide uniforms, PPE, and work boots to ensure your safety and comfort on the job.
Shift Details
Hours : 6 : 00 AM – 2 : 30 PM (Monday through Friday)
Location : Onsite only — we believe collaboration happens best in person.
Key Responsibilities
Perform computer data entry and maintain accurate production records.
Weigh powders and record weights with precision and consistency.
Operate equipment for mechanical particle size reduction.
Manage and track sample inventory throughout processing stages.
Maintain cleanliness of work areas, tools, and equipment to prevent cross-contamination.
Prioritize and manage workload to meet production timelines.
Uphold safety, quality, and environmental standards in all tasks.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
Knowledge of manufacturing, materials processing, or laboratory environments required.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, and unit conversions).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand or walk for the duration of the shift.
Comfortable working in a warm, industrial environment with exposure to noise and dust.
Comfortable wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
Reliable transportation and ability to pass background and drug screening required.
Team-oriented with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
