The Opportunity

As a Senior Analyst in Liquidity Strategy , you will be at the forefront of developing, implementing, and monitoring liquidity management strategies across the enterprise. Leveraging your in-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and regulatory landscape, you will lead complex liquidity initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen USAA's financial standing. Your insights will be communicated to governance committees, senior management, regulatory bodies, and the USAA Board of Directors.

We promote a flexible work environment that requires you to be in the office 4 days per week . This position can be based in San Antonio, TX; Plano, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Colorado Springs, CO; Charlotte, NC; Chesapeake, VA; or Tampa, FL.

What you'll do :

  • Develop advanced analytical strategies, tools, and methodologies to model and assess liquidity adequacy across the enterprise, including insurance, investment, and banking sectors.
  • Create and oversee liquidity policies and comprehensive contingency funding plans.
  • Assess and communicate complex regulatory capital and liquidity rules independently.
  • Conduct multifaceted balance sheet analyses that integrate capital, liquidity, cash, and investment strategies, providing actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Manage liquidity deployment across the enterprise while meeting various regulatory, rating agency, and internal management goals.
  • Oversee the efficient management of cash positions across the enterprise and business lines.
  • Advise key stakeholders on liquidity management best practices.
  • Evaluate risks and provide recommendations to governance committees when tolerance limits are exceeded.
  • Contribute to Treasury initiatives by participating in enterprise stress test planning and execution.
  • Analyze stress scenario results and collaborate with business stakeholders on contingency planning for reporting to senior management and boards of directors.
  • Evaluate the implications of stress scenarios on USAA's liquidity metrics and funding plans for comprehensive reporting.
  • Take a lead role in preparing and presenting key liquidity plans, metrics, and analyses to governance committees, senior management, regulatory bodies, and the USAA Board of Directors.
  • Ensure that business activity risks are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in line with risk and compliance policies.

What you have :

  • Bachelor's degree; OR 4 additional years of related experience may substitute for a degree.
  • 6 years of related experience in Finance, Risk Management, Treasury, Capital and Liquidity Management, and / or Accounting.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and cultivate relationships across various levels of the organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting to executive-level audiences.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external partners.
  • What sets you apart :

  • Experience in Liquidity Management within the financial services sector.
  • Proficiency in risk management practices, including risk metric development.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting complex analyses to senior management and regulators.
  • Experience working with regulatory bodies (e.g., OCC, FRB, TDI).
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
  • Master's degree in business, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Compensation range : The salary range for this position is $114,080 - $218,030.
