Teacher daily duties include :
Diaper changes throughout the day / potty training, if a Resource Teacher or in classrooms under the age of threeDeveloping lesson plansMeeting the individual needs of the childrenPositive parent, colleague and student communicationParticipation in staff and training meetingsDesigning an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroomInteracting with the children to support play, exploration, and learningPresenting expectations that are appropriate to the child's age and developmental levelPlanning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem and social skillsCommunicating appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staffBuilding teamworkUsing assessment toolsCommitting to continuing educationThe Goddard School is an Equal Opportunity Employer and provides outstanding opportunities including :

A Bachelors degree or high in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education or Child Development or a related field orBA or higher in a related field that includes 18 Credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development orAssociates Degree in Early Childhood Education that includes 18 semesters hours of courses directly related to young children birth to age 8. orAt least 1 year of experience working with children ages 6wks-6yrs of age andHas completed or is currently taking ECE 101 and ECE 103 or 111 or level two trainings on PDISAll employees are required to complete a Central Registry background check as well as a Colorado and Federal Bureau of Investigation finger print back ground check.
