Job descriptionRepresent employers and insurers in workers' compensation cases. Handle cases before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board and in Civil and Appellate Courts. Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff to develop strategies and case approaches. Participate in arbitration and mediation as required. Maintain client communications and provide updates on case status. Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents. Attend hearings, trials, and depositions as necessary. 0-5 years of legal experience Workers' compensation experience preferred. Strong legal research and writing skills. Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work in a team-based environment. Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Admission to the California Bar is mandatory. Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Effective problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. Keen attention to detail. Experience with or interest in workers' compensation law is beneficial.
