The Senior Banker is responsible for delivering a personalized, high-touch service experience to a portfolio of affluent clients with a minimum of $3MM in liquid or investable assets. As the primary point of contact, the Banker is expected to take a proactive and strategic approach to deepening existing relationships, retaining clients, and acquiring new business.

The Senior Banker serves a key liaison between clients and investment business partners, ensuring efficient and accurate interactions. In close partnership with the Investment Advisor, the Senior Banker jointly manages the same book of business, working collaboratively to deepen client engagement and capture a greater share of wallet.

The Senior Banker reports to the Regional Director.

Position Responsibilities :

  • Develop, manage, and retain client relationships with high-net-worth individuals. As part of a Regional Team, participates in the Bank's private banking efforts throughout Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, or other countries in Latin America. Services provided to these clients include : banking, credit, asset and risk management.
  • Work both with existing clients and with potential new clients in order to grow existing assets under management and to establish new relationships.
  • Analyze various investment opportunities in order to establish and maintain high net worth client relationships.
  • Review and analyze corporate financial reports, statements of profits and earnings, statements of past earnings, and other financial data in order to reach preliminary conclusions regarding investment possibilities. Based on these analyses, prepare reports setting forth the background, competitive positions, analyses of profits and outlooks, financial health and structure, valuation, liquidity and timing of various companies.
  • Provide clients with up-to-the-minute investment information and responsible for carrying out their clients' investment decisions. Offers in-depth knowledge of investment products and services offered include asset and risk management, banking, credit, and trusts.
  • Works closely with Private Wealth, Products and Compliance areas to develop sales strategies for target clients and markets and ensures that cross business synergies are developed.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested by immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience
  • 6 - 8 years of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of the Private Banking industry and regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of domestic and foreign securities markets and products.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of bank products, services, and bank operations.
  • Skilled at and / or aptitude for assessing client needs, providing applicable solutions / recommendations, and building client relationships based on mutual trust to optimize sales opportunities to existing clients.
  • Ability to understand and implement process and / or regulatory requirements during all interactions with clients.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to clients and other employees of the organization.
  • Strong sales and marketing skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • English and Spanish (Portuguese is required only for those working with Brazilian clients).

    The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

    Minimum : $127,500.00 USD

    Maximum : $225,000.00 USD
