Yard Jockey ~ FHN (Sun - Wed, 6 : 00pm - 4 : 30am)

Purpose : Safely handle, operate and maneuver various trucks and trailers in our yard to reposition as needed. Move trailers to designated dock(s) for loading and unloading as directed by the leadership team. Safely operate any assigned powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as forklifts, stand up order picker / cherry picker as well as other powered equipment to move product around the distribution center.

Key Responsibilities :

• Operate vehicles in a safe manner, by following all safety rules and demonstrating professional command of the equipment
• Utilize powered equipment, pick and put away product efficiently and accurately, as assigned by supervisor
• Inspect equipment and verify / report damage or concerns
• Some familiarity with computers with the ability to run and print basic reports
• Identify and communicate exceptions to the leadership team
• Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Accurately record production by task and complete any necessary paperwork
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Flexibility to train and work in multiple areas
• Work safely and maintain a clean work environment
• Other duties as assigned
