The Position :
As an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer , you will play a key leadership role in advancing our instrumentation and controls engineering discipline. You will provide technical expertise, project oversight, and mentorship while driving innovation and ensuring excellence in project delivery. At higher levels, this role also involves shaping engineering strategies, guiding stakeholder engagement, and influencing organizational decisions.
Position Responsibilities :
All Levels III, IV, V
- Perform equipment sizing & selection, alternative analyses, and other deliverables
- Support the engineering, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of facilities
- Present engineering and design deliverables to project members, cross-functional teams, senior leadership, external vendors, clients, and other stakeholders
- Plan, forecast, and actualize deliverable progress to support project reporting and schedule requirements
- Identify scope changes and estimate impact to effort and schedule
- Prepare, review, and approve instrumentation equipment, conduit, and wiring calculations, requisitions, lists, studies, reports, BOMs, and designs
- Develop Operating Controls Philosophy and Cause & Effect Diagrams, review HMI layout and Network Architecture Diagrams
Level IV
Support proposal efforts by evaluating RFP scope, identifying list of deliverables, and estimating effort requiredParticipate in project scoping and estimationLead in a senior role, providing strategic direction, technical oversight, and mentorship to the instrumentation and controls engineering disciplineWork is highly independentLevel V

4 - 10+ years of experience, depending on the level of the positionBachelor's degree in engineering requiredProfessional Engineer licensure preferredExtensive knowledge and experience in instrument and controls engineering principles and practicesAdvanced proficiency in engineering software and tools for system design, simulation, and analysisAbility to interpret and create technical drawings, schematics, and specificationsIn-depth understanding of process control systems and automation technologiesStrong knowledge of industry codes, regulations, and best practicesAbility to develop and implement instrumentation and control engineering standards and guidelinesDesired Skills and Competencies :
