SUMMARY :Provides and manages direct Dermatologic care for a specified patient population. Examines and diagnoses disorders and diseases of the human skin and determines the appropriate course of treatment. Prescribes and administers patient medications. Performs a variety of laboratory procedures, examines sample tissues, and uses various biological and chemical analyses to identify harmful organisms or pathological conditions.
- RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment for a specified patient population.
- Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic tests in order to evaluate courses of treatment.
- Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.
- Refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.
- Directs and coordinates the patient care activities of medical assistants and support staff as required.
- Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and / or infection control standards.
- Ensures strict confidentiality of all records.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- EDUCATION & TRAINING REQUIREMENTS :
Medical Doctor degree. State of Florida license. Federal DEA Certification. Board Certification or Board Eligibility.
- NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS :
- Ability to observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress.
- Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care.
- Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients in correct usage.
- Knowledge of community medical diagnostic and patient care services in Dermatology.
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and / or infection control standards.
- Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment in Dermatology.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to develop and present educational programs and / or workshops.
- Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information.
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
- Ability to orient and train selected staff when necessary.
- Organizing resources and establishing priorities skills.
- TRAINING :
Training will be one on one with a Board‐Certified Dermatologist and supporting staff.
- SALARY :
Starting Salary : $200k / year.
Salary after 6 months of employment : $250k / year.
Salary after 1 year of employment : $300k / year.
