About The Position

Experience :

Must have 18 months of recent behavioral health experience in an acute care setting.

Must have 18 months of permanent experience in a short-term acute care hospital before travel.

License :

Must have a permanent Ohio license in hand at time of submission.

Compact licenses are accepted for any starts from 1 / 1 / 23 and forward.

Certifications : AHA BLS required.

Required certifications need to be active with nothing pending.

Must-Have :

One recent reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for is required to qualify for submission.

Charge nurse references accepted.

Description :

The position is for a behavioral health nurse working from 7 PM to 7 : 30 AM.

Responsibilities include milieu management, medication management, assessments, and documentation.

ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate will be completed during orientation, and an acceptable score on both assessments is required.

Traveler will receive two attempts maximum to pass; otherwise, the assignment will be canceled.

Background checks of any kind are reviewed by the facility, but travelers with an open case will not be accepted.

The facility does not accept license hits.

Nurses are exempt from nicotine-free facility requirements temporarily.

Negative drug screening for nicotine is required within 12 months of start and must be updated annually.

Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to hospitals for one year from their previous end date.

Candidates will need to complete fingerprints onsite prior to their start date.

Modules are completed pre-start and vary by specialty.

Annual modules are billable up to four hours and only apply to those who have been under contract for a continuous year.

Modules are recorded via a tracking system.
