Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Radiology Technologist Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : 11 / 30 / 2025 Duration : 12 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 8 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Title : X-Ray Technician Location : Maryville, TN 37804 Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Day Shift – 5x8-Hour (07 : 00 AM – 03 : 00 PM) | Every Other Weekend Coverage Job Summary : The X-Ray Technician will perform diagnostic imaging procedures in a hospital radiology department, providing high-quality radiographic images for accurate diagnosis and patient care. The role includes working with a diverse patient population—pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric—across inpatient and outpatient settings. Job Responsibilities : Perform routine and trauma radiographic examinations including chest, abdomen, spine, extremities, and fluoroscopy procedures. Operate and maintain imaging equipment such as GE and PACS systems. Ensure accurate patient positioning, image quality, and radiation safety practices. Administer or assist in contrast media preparation and monitor patient response as required. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Radiology, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams. Maintain proper infection prevention and isolation protocols. Provide bedside and portable imaging services as needed. Participate in weekend rotations (every other weekend). Requirements : ARRT (R) Certification and active BLS certification. Minimum of 1 year of recent radiology experience. Experience with Epic EMR system (1-year minimum required). Must be comfortable working with multiple patient populations in both acute and outpatient settings.
