Metallurgy Technician

Your Role Overview :

As a Metallurgy Technician, you will be entrusted with the intricate art of producing components through various specialized procedures.

You'll be trained in advanced techniques to cast components from molten aluminum, execute precision welding of rotor prop stacks, perform machining operations at multiple levels, and engage in final touch procedures like trimming and deburring.

At every step, you’ll adhere to internal guidelines, structured work instructions, quality control indices, and detailed blueprints to ensure excellence and client satisfaction.

Leadership Duties

• Facilitating training and providing mentorship to junior operators.

Key Responsibilities :

Trimming - Configure and Operate

Stack Welding – Preparation and Operation

CNC Technology – Setup and Management

Foundational Casting – Setup and Operate within DCM / Managing Press Operations

Precision Deburring

Efficient Stacking – Preparation and Execution

Professional Sandblasting

Thermal Annealing

Tool & Die Modifications

Advanced Counterbore / Drill Press Techniques

Managing Tools / Equipment / Machinery Sustenance

Quality Inspection

Fulfill other roles as necessitated by production demands

Skills and Expertise Required

Mechanically proficient and intuitive

Adaptability to follow both verbal and documented guidelines

Skilled in blueprint interpretation

Proficient with manual and pneumatic tools / calipers

Educational and Experience Background :

Minimum of a High School Diploma

Basic Level Experience Accepted

Physical Demands

Endurance for high temperatures, smoke, and chemical interactions

Capability to lift and transport weights of up to 100 pounds

A potential hands-on skill assessment may be necessary

Mandatory overtime commitment

Capability to alternate between sitting and standing for long durations
