Locum Tenens Gastroenterologist

• Location

Near Avondale, Colorado

• Shift

24-hour on-call (7 a.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Friday, every other week)

• Start Date

December 6, 2024, with ongoing bi-weekly shifts available through early April

• Required Procedures

General GI procedures, including ERCP

• Support Staff

Backup physician available for concurrent calls at nearby facilities

Key Requirements :

• Board Certification

Required in Gastroenterology or Board-Eligible with recent Internal Medicine certification

• Licensure

Active Colorado medical license and DEA registration required

• Experience

ERCP experience required, with a clean malpractice and background record preferred

• Availability

Must be available for the specified call dates through April

Scheduling and Coverage Dates :

• Weekly Call Schedule

Friday (7 a.m.) - Friday (7 a.m.) bi-weekly, starting December 6, 2024, with multiple coverage dates through April

• Future Coverage

Potential need for coverage beyond April, depending on facility requirements

Patient Load and Facility Information :

Average 15-25 patients per day with 5-8 daily procedures on inpatients; additional consults and transfers expected

Available, no conscious sedation needed

Available for patient admissions
