Salary : $20 Hourly
Position Summary :
The Nursing Assistant / Medication Technician provides essential care and support while also assisting in the administration of medications under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. This dual-role position ensures our children / adults receive compassionate, high-quality care and accurate medication delivery in accordance with regulations and policies.
Key Responsibilities :
Direct Care Duties :
Assist individuals with medically fragile needs with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility support.
Monitor and report changes in the individuals physical or emotional condition to nursing staff.
Perform basic nursing skills such as taking vital signs, measuring intake / output, and assisting with transfers or ambulation.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals.
Medication Administration :
Accurately prepare and administer prescribed medications to individuals in accordance with medication administration records (MAR) and physician orders.
Document all medications administered, including dosage and time, and report any discrepancies or refusals.
Monitor for and report adverse reactions or medication side effects to the charge nurse.
Maintain medication cart, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and adequate supply levels.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or GED required.
Current CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification.
Valid Medication Technician certification & license (as required by state regulations).
CPR / First Aid certified (or willingness to obtain).
Minimum 6 months experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Work Environment :
This position requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
May be exposed to infectious diseases and bodily fluids.
Weekend, holiday, and evening shifts will be required.
