Key Responsibilities
- Support DB2 for multiple clients by applying necessary maintenance and performing upgrades.
- Upgrade and maintain ISV software related to DB2.
- Conduct testing and monitor existing DB2 workloads post-OS or CPU upgrades.
- Collaborate with clients to debug database-related issues.
- Engage with new clients for Knowledge Transfer and familiarize yourself with client environments.
- Work alongside a team of mainframe professionals to transition new clients to Ensono’s support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve DB2 system database issues.
- Address DB2 software issues effectively.
- Develop working knowledge of WLM environment in relation to DB2.
- Demonstrate proficiency with DB2 Utilities, TSO, and FTP.
- Utilize SMP / E skills in the installation process.
- This is a project-based position without 24 / 7 on-call responsibilities.
Qualifications
Minimum of five years' experience in a z / OS environment, covering functional areas such as z / OS Operating System, Storage, Databases, CICS, and Disaster Recovery concepts.Strong technical implementation skills for DB2 on zOS and related ISV software products.Familiarity with SMP / E for installation and maintenance of DB2 and related software.Experience interacting with ISV vendors to resolve issues.Knowledge of ISV products including CA and IBM database tools, Sysview, Omegamon, and Mainview.Ability to lead meetings and conference calls effectively.Self-motivated with the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel, able to create shareable documents.Act as the primary technical contact for DB2-related matters for clients during their transition.Required experience in supporting DB2 zOS from a Systems or DBA perspective.Experience with CICS or zOS Operating Systems is a plus.Proven track record of upgrading DB2 zOS.Understanding of DB2 connect, Security exits, and DB2 data sharing in a SYSPLEX environment.Ability to extract information from DB2 logs and perform DB2 system recovery.Experience with IDAA and IMS upgrades is an added advantage.Why Join Ensono?

Placement in the range will depend on various factors such as skills, experience, internal equity, and business needs. In addition to the base salary, other compensation programs may include an annual bonus based on individual and company performance, and equity grants as part of our Associate Equity Appreciation Program.
