GENERAL SUMMARY :
The Community Driver in our Senior Living Community assists with the overall Community Programming department to ensure the residents lives are enriched by offering a broad range of excursions / trips in a variety of settings. These programs should appeal to the varied lifestyles and backgrounds of the residents while offering choice, fostering independence, promoting individuality, and nurturing the spirit of each individual.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
Drives residents in community vehicles to medical appointments, shopping trips, dining excursions, museums, parks and other attractions.Attends outings with the residents.Assists residents in and out of company vehicle(s).Ensures all resident outings are on time and residents are transported to and from the community safely.Maintains the cleanliness of the community vehicle.Maintains fuel level in community vehicles – refills gas tank as necessary.Ensures maintenance schedule is followed for oil changes and routine vehicle maintenance.Coordinates all repairs on community vehicles with the Environmental Services Director and the Resident Lifestyle Director.Responds in a timely manner to requests from residents, families, and guests.Participates as needed in daily programs, special events, and marketing efforts.Must in company uniform and resident ready at all times.Performs other related essential duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, team members, residents, family members, guests, vendors, referral sources, and outside contactsMust be able to communicate in a warm, friendly and caring mannerMust possess a passion to work with and around senior citizensEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS :
High School Graduate or equivalentEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
Experience in senior living preferredSafe Driving Record RequiredMust be 21 years old and have at least 3 years of driving experiencePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

Work in all areas of the communitySubject to reactions from dust, disinfectants and cleaning chemicals and may be exposed to infectious waste, diseases and other conditionsUse personal protective equipment and supplies when needed to prevent burns, falls, and infectionPersonal protective equipment includes infection control kit, rubber gloves and non-slip shoesSubject to infectious diseases, substances and odorsFollow Safety Policy & Procedures
