Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team! As an Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will be working closely with Occupational Therapists as well as other Assistants to provide therapy and support for our patients. You will be following plans of care previously laid out, assisting your patients with using adaptive devices, and maintaining all therapy spaces and equipment. The ideal candidate has strong time management skills, excellent customer service skills, and knowledge of occupational therapy guidelines and recommendations. This position is Part-time Per diem working for a Home Healthcare Agency. Perfect for someone looking for flexible hours.
Responsibilities
Read, understand, and follow all plans of care and therapy laid out for patients under your careAssist patients with using adaptive equipment, modified exercises, and learning basic life skillsAssist Occupational Therapists with exercises, communication, and care coordination as neededAssemble, clean, and maintain equipment and materials used on a daily basisAttend care plans for patients, provide input, and go over patient care plansMaintain accurate documentation of patient progress and changesQualifications
Current state licensing for occupational therapy assistance requiredPrevious experience working in an occupational therapy setting desiredStrong customer service skills and a positive attitudeFamiliarity with Microsoft Office suiteStrong communication and interpersonal skillsStrong time management skillsThe ability to make decisions in a high-stress environmentMust be able to work independentlyMust be comfortable services clients in the comfort of their homesThis is a remote position.
