The Role

Ship laborers / cleaners are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the ships under construction. Must be able to operate pneumatic pumps and equipment used in pumping water, and other fluids out of bilges, tanks, compartments and other confined spaces. Must be able to perform assigned job duties in tanks, in confined spaces at various heights and in various climatic conditions. Perform manual wash downs with fire hoses while using soaps and degreasers, etc.

Must Have

Must be able to operate pneumatic pumps and equipment used in pumping water, and other fluids out of bilges, tanks, compartments and other confined spaces. Must be able to perform assigned job duties in tanks, in confined spaces at various heights and in various climatic conditions.

Nice to Have

Shipyard or heavy construction experience. High School diploma or equivalent.
