We're looking for dedicated team members to join Orange County's largest nonprofit developer of high-quality affordable housing and services. Join us in our mission to transform lives and strengthen communities for thousands of families, seniors, veterans, transitional age youth, and individuals coming from homelessness in California.

Primary Objective of Position :

Assist Project Managers and Development Associates in coordinating and assisting in the housing development process.

Major Areas of Accountability :

Assist in management of new housing developments

  • Create, assemble, and distribute due diligence materials
  • Interface with internal and external partners
  • Research housing regulations
  • Assist in preparation of RFPs and RFQs
  • Gather existing and / or produce new information
  • Update corporate information
  • Coordinate final document production
  • Maintain databases
  • Assist with gathering proposals and getting consultant contracts executed
  • Assist with special projects
  • Assist with coding project invoices
  • Maintain closing documents for all properties
  • Maintain project files
  • Maintain project schedules
  • Maintain project directories
  • Attend site visits prior to and during construction
  • Coordinate site visits for various consultants with current owners, during construction or with property management throughout the course of development
  • Coordinate and schedule design team meetings
  • Attend community meetings for our projects as necessary
  • Keep track of application submission dates for the various financing sources as well as the regulatory changes to the various funding sources
  • Other duties as assigned

Level of Education, Experience, and Skill Set :

Familiarity with affordable housing

  • Knowledge of computer software, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook
  • Skilled at performing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong organizational ability
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • AA degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Valid California driver's license and availability of an insured vehicle to travel within the California service area
  • Job includes some evening and weekend hours, eligible for overtime pay
  • Physical Demands :

    The Project Coordinator is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel. The employee is required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb, balance, twist, lean, move from one location to another and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required by this job include close and far vision. Ability to operate a computer keyboard, and lift files and reports. Exposure to glare from a computer. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be able to lift 25 lbs and travel via automobile 25%.

    Work Environment :

    The work environment will usually be in a professional office setting, with possible shared workspace. The noise level is usually quiet to moderate. When traveling, the environment will change dependent upon the site visiting.
