Central Sterile Technician

Job Summary

This position will ensure that sterility is achieved for all items utilizing both the steam and hydrogen peroxide process. Ensure that all items, instruments, and equipment are cleaned and decontaminated in a manner that makes it safe for use, and prevents cross contamination. Maintain properly wrapped sterile linen and packs for areas. Correctly assemble packs / trays for customers. Deliver and retrieve items in a timely manner. Maintain high standards of work practice to give high quality of care. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• Must obtain CRCST certification within two years of initial employment and maintain certification during employment.
